The so-called double-layer planar heterostructure is different from the Schottky type in that two layers of organic materials are inserted between the electrodes, one is a p-type material, and the other is an n-type material. In order to improve the exciton separation efficiency in the active layer materials of organic solar cells, electron acceptor materials and donor materials have been introduced in the device structure design to obtain double film heterojunction organic solar cells. Organic semiconductor materials absorb photons and generate excitons. Excitons generate rapid charge transfer at the donor acceptor interface. After electrons are injected into the acceptor materials, holes and electrons are effectively separated. The separated electrons and holes are transferred to the two electrodes respectively under the action of the built-in electric field, thus forming photocurrent.
